IATP Food and Society Fellows La Donna Redmond and Roger Doiron were recognized recently for their tireless grassroots organizing for a better food system. In September, Redmond was chosen for a Time Magazine Community Service Award for her work building a locally owned market that provides access to fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables for urban residents. This week, Doiron was recognized by the Huffington Post as a top-ten new media "game changer," alongside Bill McKibben and Annie "Story of Stuff" Leonard, for his "Eat the View" campaign for a White House vegetable garden.
